Perimenopause and Menopause
We have experience treating hot flashes, sleep issues, fatigue, weight changes, bone health and sexual health. We are able to offer FDA-approved bioidentical hormones when appropriate. We also offer non-hormonal support when hormone therapy isn’t the right fit.
Premenopausal Hormonal Disorders
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), irregular periods, PMOS (previously known as PCOS), endometriosis, and postpartum hormone concerns. We help you learn more about your cycle and what’s normal for you, choose the right birth control when needed, and address conditions that may have been overlooked or dismissed elsewhere.
Thyroid Disorders
Dr. Antunes has experience in diagnosing and managing thyroid hormone disorders including hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Weight Gain and Obesity
These are metabolic conditions that are often linked but may occur isolated. We are experienced in offering lifestyle education, but medications may be indicated as part of your treatment plan. I prescribe oral and injectable weight loss medications.
Infertility
For women trying to conceive, we provide ovulation induction treatments using clomiphene and letrozole. We carefully monitor your response to these medications to optimize your chances of successful conception. We also provide education on the several factors that may impact fertility. Referrals are made when more specialized fertility care is needed.
Mental Health
Dr. Antunes has experience treating symptoms of Depression and Anxiety. Referrals are made when more specialized mental health care is needed.

CEO and co-founder
Kendal Merrick
Kendal is a United States Air Force veteran with a strong background in data analytics and software development. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Data Analytics from the University of Maryland University College. Following his retirement from the military, Kendal chose to leverage his technical expertise to enhance healthcare delivery. In 2025, he co-founded Antunes-Merrick Medical with the goal of expanding access to primary care through telemedicine.

Leticia Alves Antunes, MD, MBA, MSCP, FAAFP
Dr. Antunes is a board-certified Family Medicine physician who specializes in managing acute and chronic conditions, menopause, mental health, and women’s health. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, credential issued by The Menopause Society in 2026. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine (AAFP) since 2025. She offers care in the following languages: English, Spanish and Portuguese. She is able to treat symptoms of Hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, Hypothyroidism, Depression, Anxiety, Menopause, Reproductive Health as well as acute conditions, including upper respiratory infections and urinary tract infections. She is also interested in community health, disease prevention, and health screenings counseling.
