Perimenopause and Menopause
We have experience treating hot flashes, sleep issues, fatigue, weight changes, bone health and sexual health. We are able to offer FDA-approved bioidentical hormones when appropriate. We also offer non-hormonal support when hormone therapy isn’t the right fit.
Premonopausal Hormonal Disorders
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), irregular periods, PMOS (previously known as PCOS), endometriosis, and postpartum hormone concerns. We help you learn more about your cycle and what’s normal for you, choose the right birth control when needed, and address conditions that may have been overlooked or dismissed elsewhere.
Thyroid Disorders
Dr. Antunes has experience in diagnosing and managing thyroid hormone disorders including hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, Weight Gain and Obesity
These are metabolic conditions that are often linked but may occur isolated. We are experienced in offering lifestyle education, but medications may be indicated as part of your treatment plan. I prescribe oral and injectable weight loss medications.
Infertility
For women trying to conceive, we provide ovulation induction treatments using clomiphene and letrozole. We carefully monitor your response to these medications to optimize your chances of successful conception. We also provide education on the several factors that may impact fertility. Referrals are made when more specialized fertility care is needed.
Mental Health
Dr. Antunes has experience treating symptoms of Depression and Anxiety. Referrals are made when more specialized fertility care is needed.
